Call of Duty: Modern Warfare post-launch content is still exclusive to PS4 for 7 days
Sony revealed that once again, PS4 players are getting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare DLC early.
This detail has been confirmed in all Call of Duty: Modern Warfare media shared on Sony's official channels, such as YouTube and Twitter. Just like Black Ops 4, this year's game will also receive post-launch content, all of which will be made available on PS4 seven days early.
This is a far cry from the 30-day exclusivity deals of the past, but the news disappointed many regardless. For one, Modern Warfare is dropping the season pass for the first time ever, and promising cross-play between PC and consoles.
These consumer-friendly moves signalled to players that things may have changed, which is what made the reception of the seven-day exclusivity very poor. Though details about how this will affect cross-play, or how the feature itself is going to work have yet to be confirmed, it's nonetheless dampened the enthusiasm somewhat.
You can see the confirmation at the very end of the trailer below:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out October 25 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
