Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's Rave in the Redwoods is definitely set in the 90's - there's plaid, glowsticks, and someone says "gnarly"
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare took us to the future, but Zombies - ah! Zombies takes us to our regrettable past.
The first Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare DLC pack arrives on PS4 next week, bringing with it a new chapter in the Zombies journey.
Continuing the story from the Zombies in Spaceland, the latest episode of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's co-op horde more is set in an abandoned campground in the 1990's, which has been used as the site of a rave. The ravers are now zombies, in a heavy-handed metaphor that baby boomers will enjoy.
Our four heroes make dated quips and wear terrible outfits as they navigate this hostile environment, aided in their endeavours by the helpful glow of the rave accessories worn by the zombies. They also take party drugs of some sort, meet director Kevin Smith, and fend off Slasher, the obligatory serial killer. And to think you complained about Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare going to the future. The future is great: nobody says "gnarly" non-ironically. Let's go back! Forward. Whatever.
Not a Zombies or 1990's slasher film fan? No worries, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Sabotage adds four new multiplayer maps and more.
Look for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Sabotage on PS4 on January 31, for $15 standalone or as part of the season pass. PC and Xbox One release dates have not been announced.
