Following this week's teaser trailer, Activision and Infinity Ward are ready to show us Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer, and our L.A. freelancer Catherine Cai is on location to give us the big news as it drops.

The presentation began with a trailer that looked fairly typical until lady soliders showed up. Yes, you will finally be able to play a woman in Call of Duty.

Ghosts will have seven new multiplayer modes, more than 20 new killstreas and 30 new weapons, as well as a new class. You'll also be able to customize the appearance of your multiplayer character to a degree unprecedented for the franchise.

Players will be able to import their profiles to the next generation, if they, say, buy it on Xbox 360, then later get it on Xbox One. Imports can only occur in a single brand, meaning you can't take your 360 profile to PS4.

One new mode is called Cranked. Cranked is a variation on team deathmatch in which kills will enhance your agility and speed, but if you don’t get your next kill quickly you’re spontaneously combust.

Call of Duty: Ghosts hits PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U on November 5. It will also release on PS4 and Xbox One in due course.
