Call of Duty: Ghosts "in no way" representation of real military life, says producer

Call of Duty: Ghosts executive producer Mark Rubin is very clear on the difference between what makes "a fun movie" and what goes on in real military service.

"There's an enormous amount of appreciation for what [veterans] do. In no way do we feel we are a representation of what their lives are like," Rubin told GameInformer, as transcribed by Shack News.

"We are trying to be a cinematic movie experience based on authentic equipment and authentic experience. A lot of the stuff that we show in the game has been done by someone, but it's not a representation of what they do or it's not an equivalent in any way of what they do. We're just trying to make a fun movie."

Elsewhere in the video, Acitivision and Infinity Ward mention that they do call on veterans to advise on certain aspects of the Call of Duty franchise.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is due on PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 on November 5. It comes to PS4 and Xbox One when the new consoles launch later in the month.
