Call of Duty: Ghosts given a 16 rating in Europe
Call of Duty: Ghosts will hit shelves with a 16 rating. Eurogamer has revealed that although promotional material for the game carries an 18 certificate, the game has been given a slightly lower rating.
This is the first time in 5 years that a Call of Duty title has not carried an 18 rating, at least in most parts of Europe This dates back to World at War, which was rated a 15 by the BBFC. Every game since, from 2009's Modern Warfare 2 through to Black Ops 2 last year, has carried the maximum European age rating. However, in areas of Europe where PEGI rated World at War it was slapped with an 18.
Apparently dog kills just aren't that graphic.
Thanks, Creteck.
