Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta keys available for Xfinity customers
Comcast Xfinity customers in the US could get early access to the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta.
The limited, first session of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta kicks off this Thursday. This initial phase is available only to pre-order players on PS4, but some may not even have to pre-order.
Assuming you don't want to wait until the open beta, Comcast is offering Xfinity customers in the US the chance to get a beta code. The codes open up access to all of the beta's weekends, the ones available on your chosen platform, at any rate.
If you have Xfinity, you can request access at the official site right now. Keys are limited, so there's no guarantee you'll be picked, but it's worth throwing your name in the hat anyway.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta's first go is exclusive to those with PS4 pre-orders, available October 8-9. The beta opens up on the same platform October 10-12. The PS4 open beta continues the following weekend, and PC/Xbox One players who pre-ordered get to also join October 15–16, before the beta goes fully open October 17-19.
The beta should offer an updated build compared to the alpha, which had its fair share of technical shortcomings. As for balance, expect sniper rifles to be much less dominant.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War releases November 13. You can pre-order it on Amazon.
