Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta is due in August, and Comcast Xfinity customers have a chance to play the game early
Although Activision has yet to officially announce it, we have another confirmation of when the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta will start.
Sometime after the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 reveal, a couple of retailers announced in ads that the Black Ops 4 beta is starting in August. They didn't provide a specific date.
Fast forward to this week, and another confirmation has come our way. As part of a new promotion with Comcast, the internet provider revealed that the Black Ops 4 beta is indeed due for August.
Last year, Comcast offered Xfinity customers access to the Call of Duty: WW2 beta without pre-ordering, and the same is happening again this year. An exact date has not yet been announced, but Comcast is also offering a few lucky customers the chance to play the game early outside of the upcoming beta.
Along with Activision, Comcast is holding a sweepstakes where American residents can register for a chance to play the game at one of several Xfinity stores around the country. In Washington D.C., Boston, Philadelphia, Houston, Seattle, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Atlanta.
You can also expect a few in-store activities. Professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics, Gordon Hayward, will show up at the new Cambridge Xfinity store in Boston, for instance.
Registration is open now and until the end of August.
