Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to use dedicated servers, ship with FOV slider on PC
The PC version of Black Ops 3 is going to look and run very well, according to Treyarch.
Treyarch has always been known among the Call of Duty community on PC as the developer that cares about the PC version, usually offering a well-optimised port and a large number of options. This focus is looking like it's going to be even greater for Black Ops 3.
The Twitter account of the PC version's director of development has been revealing all kinds of exciting information about that port recently.
First, he confirmed that the PC version will be using dedicated servers for all ranked matches.
Another hot topic among PC gamers is the lack of FOV sliders in PC ports. The developer confirmed that Black Ops 3 will come with one.
As for framerate caps on PC, the dev could not go into specifics, but said that it may be a similar case to that of Black Ops 2.
Treyarch is serious about the PC version. The developer has already announced the minimum PC specs.
Black Ops 3 is out November 6.
