Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 closed Alpha kicks off for PC mod tools
It was announced last last month the closed Alpha would start soon.
Treyarch said today it started sending out invites to chosen members of the PC modding community.
The developer said the "incredible amount of testing and iteration" for the tools will help "lay the foundation for an open beta."
Once the results of the Alpha have been analyzed, the open beta will go live in the "following months," which means a timeframe hasn't been set.
Back in November, Treyarch announced it would offer modding and mapping tools to the community. The last game to offer map making tools was Call of Duty: World at War.
