Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 lets you customise characters' genders, even in the campaign
For the first time in a Call of Duty campaign, Black Ops 3 will let players pick the gender of their characters.
Treyarch is bringing a lot of customisation options to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. This extends to the game's campaign, which we know will support up to four players in co-op.
Customising each character will be part of that. On top of changing the appearance, weapons, and abilities, the character's gender will also be customisable.
"It's not just a female head on a male body. It's a different set of animations for the entire game," studio head Mark Lamia told Engadget.
The cutscenes will respect that as well, with both genders being fully voiced and with NPC interactions changing based on the gender. "We knew we were going to do fully unique male, fully unique female for all scenes and all the customization that goes for both. Thank God for Blu-ray, right?" said campaign director and senior executive producer Jason Blundell.
