Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare update to fix prestige resets, speed reloads
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare seems to be doing pretty well critically, but Sledgehammer Games already has a number of fixes in mind for the shooter's first update.
An patch for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is inbound, according to a recent post on the Sledgehammer Games website.
"There’s an update in the works that includes a number of polish items, fixes, and community requested changes," Sledgehammer's Michael Condrey wrote.
Here's the proposed change list, which is of course subject to change.
- Prestige reset issues, including emblems and challenges.
- Adjustment to the in-game chat names notifications placement.
- Fix for weapon reloads counting as speed reloads in certain circumstances.
- Connectivity optimizations.
- Fix for stats accumulating towards leaderboards after prestiging.
- Adjustment to challenges to unlock Camos for weapons.
- Fix for round-based game modes, affecting Win/Loss ratios.
- Implemented ability to unlock eSports Rule options in Private Match.
This latest batch of proposed updates joins another touted closer to launch. There seems to be quite a lot of overlap.
There's no ETA on the update. Activision made a statement regarding Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's dedicated servers over the weekend, although I doubt this comforts those affected by lag and other issues in multiplayer.
