Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare multiplayer suffering from lag, bad hit-detection

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been out for a few days now and a large number of players are reporting connection issues, massive lag, shoddy hit-detection and more.

After spending a few minutes reading various forum posts about the issues, it would appear that they're not platform-specific. Complaints on Activision's Twitter account, the game's forums, Reddit and NeoGAF all point to a number of issues.

The issues include mid-match disconnects, "service is not available" messages when attempting to access multiplayer, bad hit-detecting; meaning that most of your shots don't affect enemy players, while you die almost instantly when getting shot by them.

Prior to the game's launch, Sledgehammer Games' Michael Condrey confirmed that the game would launch with dedicated servers support and promised more updates as we get closer to launch. Here we are, a few days after launch and the game does not appear to support dedicated servers on any platform.

My personal experience has mirrored that of many players it seems.

Thanks, IGN.
