Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 reveal - watch it here
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 reveal is a few tantalising hours away, and you can watch it along with us right here.
Activision is giving us a taste of Black Ops 4 as we hurtle headlong towards E3, with today's livestream reveal, kicking off at 10AM PT/ 1PM ET/ 6PM BST. We've got you covered with the Twitch and YouTube embeds below.
Treyarch's Mark Lamia described Black Ops 4 as the "deepest, most replayable game" in the studio's history. The multiplayer is set in a "narrative world" between Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3.
There'll be no thrust-jumping or wall-running. Black Ops 4 will offer fluid gameplay, and Specialists are back - including Ruin - with their own equipment. Each of the Specialists will have their own solo mission.
The weapon system has been overhauled with unique attachments for each weapon, a new category of attachments called operator mods.
Players can manually heal while on the go, giving players a wider strategy to play with, and "much needed pacing" into the gameplay loop.
League Play will also be making a comeback.
Zombie mode will feature its own new narrative experience, with custom modes, competitions, and seasons. Black Ops 4 zombies will also have bot support, and a new mode called Zombie Rush. Difficulty levels are back too.
Players can expect three "fully-fledged" zombie experiences on day one.
Meanwhile, Black Ops 4 will indeed use Battle.net, with all of the social features to boot. The PC version has been custom-built for PCs.
And finally, Black Ops 4 is jumping on the battle royale bandwagon, with land sea, and air vehicles included. The new mode is called Blackout.
Players who pre-order the title will get access to the closed beta.
The event is streaming on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and the official Black Ops 4 website.
Activision dropped the first teaser for the game in March, and since then, it's been rumoured that the shooter won't feature a single-player campaign this year, and will possibly have a battle royale mode in store.
Fans of the series will be pleased to know that zombies mode will be returning this year, and we'll get more on that at E3.
It's also looking likely that Black Ops 4 will feature PS4 timed-exclusive DLC, as with last year's Cod: WW2, but that's yet to be officially confirmed.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launched on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 12.
