Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 update adds Infected multiplayer mode, snowy version of Redwood map
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 players have plenty of reason to fire the game up today.
Yesterday, Treyarch updated Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 with a new map and multiplayer mode.
In the new mode, Infected, one player is randomly chosen at the start of each match as the infected. This player's goal is to infect the other players.
When successful, the downed player will respawn as infected which increases the size of the horde. The goal is to infect all players, or survive until time runs out in order to win.
Along with the new mode, the Redwood Snow map has been added. Just as it sounds, it's a snow-covered version of the current Redwood map.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 players can also enjoy new Specialist themes included with the update, along with general performance passes.
The Black Ops 3 update is live for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Black Ops 3 was released back in 2015, and according to rumors, Treyarch is working on Black Ops 4, this year’s Call of Duty entry. The game was rumored in Fenruary, and the most recent information to back the rumor up comes from merchandise for the game showing up in GameStop's database.
