Cage: Heavy Rain's "not really a videogame anymore"

Are you drunk on David Cage yet? Of course not! You need one more shot of his strongest words, and we're here to provide that for you.

Speaking at GamesCom, Cage told VG247 that Heavy Rain's gone beyond the limits of what you'd typically call a "videogame."

"[It's] something that is not really a videogame anymore. It’s fully interactive; I’m not talking about that. But in the matter of format, objectives, and the way it works, it’s not really a videogame anymore," he said.

"So all the rules that have been defined by this industry to promote games, like trade shows and demos, you have to ask yourself if it’s really the type of thing worth doing."

Well, that's enough Cage for us. We're off to lose our last three day's worth of lunches behind a dumpster now. But we're lightweights. You, though -- you want more. We can see the look in your eyes, the fire. Go read the rest of the interview. Do what we couldn't.
