In the weekly Bungie podcast, the developer has mentioned a new game for the first time, a project that's in the very early stages and is a complete departure from anything to do with Halo.

"We can say that Bungie's next game, that isn't Halo 3 expansion and DLC-type stuff, would be something totally different from Bungie," said a spokesperson. The chat included Frank O'Connor, Luke Smith, Brian Gerrard and new guy Christian Allen: we lost track of who actually gave the quote. "It's far, far too early in its state to even say more than that at this point, but eventually I'm sure we'll have a lot of cool things to start talking about."

The game is the first title announced from the studio since it famously wrenched itself away from Microsoft in October last year.
