Bungie discusses Halo: Reach in latest Podcast

Halo Reach 3

Chris Carney, multiplayer designer on Halo: Reach, and sandbox lead Sage Merrill revealed through the latest Bungie Podcast loads of new details on the multiplayer portion of the game.

According to the Podcast, fall damage is making a return, so is stun, ways to mitigate damage you take from a fall, and the news that you really have to "try" to hurt yourself in order to take any significant damage from a fall.

Lots of stuff on falling, apparently.

More details included: Multiplayer will allow you play as an Elite ( of course); Arena mode won't allow players to choose between playing as a Spartan or Elite in the Beta; maps can be shared between single and multiplayer; and loads of smaller information was included as well.

There's a lot there, honestly, so you should just go listen to it. All one hour and sixteen minutes of it.

Bungie has been handing out information on the Halo: Reach Beta for a bit now, especially this week.

It's also promising "something big" this week, which frankly scares us a bit.

The Beta's scheduled to start in May.
