BULLETCAST, May 31 – What you need to know now

That should be the end of the bank holidays, so it's back to full-time news. We've got no audio again for you today, unfortunately, as I've swapped over to a new PC and all my recording shizzle's on the old one. I'll sort it for tomorrow.

In the meantime, here's your round-up.

• Sony's overshot its May 31 target to get PSN completely restored after it was hacked last month. Full services, including the PS Store, are now promised back online by the end of this week.
• Call of Duty: Elite is a tiered stats service for the IP, with some content free and some premium. The Wall Street Journal went first will full info on this last night. Check back later for Keza's impressions once the embargo lifts at 4.00pm UK time.
• A semi-listing from US retailer Target appears to have shown an imminent $100 price-drop for 360's Elite Kinect bundle. Expect it to be announced in LA next week.
• After announcing its intention to sell Cryptic last week, Atari's confirmed it's off-loaded the MMO studio to Perfect World for $50 million.
• A few lucky sites got to check out Heart of the Swarm recently. The first previews are up, and there's still no date on the second part of StarCraft II's story arc.
• Microsoft showed the first proper Gears 3 campaign trailer after the Champions League final on Saturday. It has guns.
• EA dropped some new Battlefield 3 footage last week, including a good look at the shooter's engine and first DLC pack.
• LA Noire's first DLC and details on Rockstar Pass are going to be announced this week.
• Kojima's been going tweet-mental about E3. He reckons MGS5 won't be announced at the show, and that he won't be in attendance himself.
• The first FIFA 12 trailer focuses on the game's tech. Not on $40,000 bungs, unfortunately.
