Breath of the Wild Oman Au Shrine Walkthrough

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild features well over 100 Shrines in total, but the first one you'll come to is the Oman Au Shrine. In this Zelda Breath of the Wild Oman Au Shrine guide, we'll be walking you through everything you need to know in order to conquer the Breath of the Wild Magnesis Trial, which is pretty tricky.

Breath of the Wild Magnesis Trial Solution

Here's how to clear the Oman Au Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

  1. Examine the portal in the far left corner. This unlocks the Magnesis rune ability, allowing you to lift and move heavy metallic objects.
  2. Use your new rune ability to lift the large metal panels in the centre of the room, revealing a ladder to an underground area.
  3. Make your way through to the next room and remove the metal cube from the brick wall.
  4. With the wall collapsed you can easily climb through into the next area, although be prepared to fight a mechanical spider. The spider will fire energy blasts at you, so your best option is to use your bow and arrow from distance.
  5. Walk towards the end of the room, stopping after you've crossed the bridge. Use the Magnesis ability to move the metal panel that served as a bridge, placing it over the gap that was previously stopping you from crossing to the final section containing the two large metal gates. Pull the gates open using your Magnesis and you've reached the end of the Magnesis Trial. You'll be rewarded with a Spirit Orb.
  6. Return to the Plateau tower and use your scope (click in the right stick to activate) to search for new shrines. The remaining shrines in The Isolated Plateau quest can be tackled in any order (although cold areas require warmth, either from the Warm Doublet or from fire), so the choice of what to tackle next is up to you.

As the first shrine and trial in Breath of the Wild, don't assume what will follow will be on the same level. Trials gradually become more and more devious, especially if you want to find the secrets in each. Stick with our guide and you'll sail through without any problems.

That's all we have on this subject, but worry not as there's plenty more Breath of the Wild content right here on USG. First off, there's this news story on Twitch Plays beating its first Guardian. After that, be sure to head over to our write-up of the awesome Wind Waker easter egg hidden in the game.
