New Breath of the Wild glitch lets you build a makeshift car
Breath of the Wild is the game that keeps giving. It feels like its players are constantly coming up with cool new stuff, whether by messing with the systems or taking advantage of glitches.
This latest video is concerned with the latter and allows you to use Sidon as a kinetic force to transport you around on a - admittedly quite slow - makeshift car.
To do the glitch, you first need to complete the Vah Ruta main quest right up to the Sidon fight, but don’t talk to Sidon. Then you need to do the Infinite Jump Glitch to get to Sidon in a different way. Twitch streamer PointCrow has a full explanation of the steps required here.
You can also check out PointCrow’s full VOD for the step-by-step guide.
The tl;dr version is that you can spawn Sidon outside of the battle where he will follow you around like a lost puppy. Grab a bookshelf from the castle and you can use him following you to push it along like a car.
You can even steer the vehicle by walking left and right while standing on the bookcase. Here’s a clip of it in action:
The meme has transcended: with the addition of Sidon as a perpetual motor, we have discovered BOOKSURFING from r/Breath_of_the_Wild
It doesn’t look like the most efficient way to get around Hyrule, but it’s something to do it you’ve played Breath of the Wild to death and you’re looking for fresh kicks. If you want more, we saw someone figure out a new way to fish in Breath of the Wild and you can read it at that link.
