Borderlands 3: here's a breakdown of the Skill Tree for Zane, the Operative Class

Borderlands 3 will feature four new Vault Hunters, one of which is Zane.

The first gameplay details for Borderlands 3 were announced today during a livestream. Here, we are going to take a look at one of the new Vault Hunters, Zane.

Information on the character's Skill Tree leaked earlier today ahead of the embargo, but wasn't confirmed.

In the video from Arekkz Gaming below, you're given a look at Zane's actions and a full breakdown of his Skill Tree. This includes all abilities and the various perks on offer. This is something Kirk went over as well in his Borderlands 3 preview.

Skill Sets available to the Operative Class are Double Agent, Hitman, and Under Cover. Each skill tree will feature over 10 options with various perks and Augments.

Each Vault Hunter offers three action skills to choose from when you gain access to action skills at level three.

All Vault Hunters can equip one action skill at a time, except for Zane who can optionally equip a second action skill in place of grenades.

As you progress further in the skill tree, you will gain passive skills but also action skill augments and modifiers.

In the gameplay reveal today, one of the unique perks for Zane was shown: Digiclone.

This gives him the ability to make a digital copy of himself to confuse and distract enemies. He can also swap places with his Digiclone at any time, multiple times.

Sentinel was another shown, and it's an autonomous combat drone that can be outfitted with the ability to freeze, attack, weaken, or bomb enemies.

There's also Barrier, a defensive ability that "digistructs" an energy shield which not only deflects enemy fire, but it provides bonuses for Zane and his allies when engaging with it.

We'll break down the skill tree in more detail for you soon. So keep an eye out for updates.

A similar video for Amara, the Siren character, will be released later today. Once its live, we'll let you know.

Borderlands 3 releases September 13 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
