Borderlands 3: here's 18 minutes of midgame Amara gameplay, focused on her Phasegrasp skill tree
Borderlands 3 is out next month, and as the hype mounts we've got some new footage to look at.
This footage comes direct from Arekkz, who had a chance to go hands-on with Amara in Borderlands 3. He's posted some impressions and a deep dive into the Phasegap skill tree, and how it looks once you hit around level 22.
Amara is Borderlands 3's 'siren' character, as we've previously seen Arekkz dig into her skill tree. We've also seen a character introduction video, so at this point we're well acquainted with Amara - although, as this video shows us, there's still a lot we can learn.
Phasegrasp allows you to lock enemies in place so that you can really unleash on them. She can also summon up giant fists which smash into her enemies while she's safely at a distance.
This is largely uninterrupted footage without a lot of commentary, so it's a good look at how Borderlands 3 plays when you're building up Amara. A lot of it is pretty standard point-and-shoot, as is the case when you're playing a game like this, but we get to see Amara summon up a giant hand and grab an enemy from afar, which is pretty cool.
The game is shaping out to be something special, and this video shows off just a few of the wild guns that will be on offer when it launches on September 13 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
