Borderlands 2, Football Manager Classic and Lego Marvel coming to Vita
Sony outlined a number of upcoming Vita releases during gamescom 2013, including at least one present surprise.
One of the highlights is Borderlands 2. Gearbox and Sony were apparently inspired to sign the game to Vita by fan reaction to Randy Pitchford's suggestion that it would be kind of rad. The port is being developed by Fivekick developer Iron Galaxy Studios, and is due in 2014. No further details were revealed.
Football Manager Classic was also showcased, headed to Vita from Sports Interactive. It’s a mode that was added into Football Manager 2013 on PC and Mac, as a quicker way to play the full Football Manager experience. It boasts a huge database of players, a 3D match engine showing the action, a full tactics module, realistic transfers, AI, and "dozens of playable leagues, with hundreds of manageable clubs from all over the world". The Vita release is said to have way more features than past PSP games in addition to the 3D match visualiser, and will also have cross-save with the Linux, mac and PC versions.
Sony also noted that Lego Marvel Superheroes and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate are headed to Vita soon.
