Borderlands 2 extra class DLC possible

Borderlands 2 will likely gain additional classes in upcoming DLC, Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford has re-confirmed.

Responding to a question on Twitter as to whether new class DLC is "possible", Pitchford gave a simple "yes" in response.

Although some have hailed the tweet as confirmation of new classes in the works, Gearbox has been clear since before launch that new characters were possible should the Mechromancer perform well. The question did reference Gaige's success, though.

The Mechromancer went into production once Borderlands 2 went gold, and released within two months of its launch, free to those who'd pre-ordered. It is considered both a beginner and expert specialist class, thanks to two very different paths of progression.
