Borderlands 2 bug not connected to title update nor DLC, says Gearbox

The Borderlands 2 bug resetting players' Badass Rank on Xbox 360 is not connected to the Mechromancer DLC nor the title update, according to Gearbox community manager Chris Faylor.
Speaking on the Gearbox forums, Faylor said while the issues seem connected, it's all just coincidental.
"The good news is that the release of Mechromancer and today's update are not connected to the occurrences of Badass Rank being reset," wrote Faylor. "While the timing may appear coincidental, it's a separate issue that we are continuing to investigate."
Users also reported the loss of Gold Keys.
Faylor said users experiencing issues should email Gearbox with a description of the problem.
