Blizzcon 2016 is here! Blizzard's annual event showing off everything Blizzard for 2016 and beyond is happening in Anaheim, CA on November 4 and 5. We'll be covering the event today and tomorrow, with this post acting as the main spot for all the relevant news from the show.

World of Warcraft is Fixing Its Content Problem With Smaller Patches

Blizzard outlined the upcoming patches for World of Warcraft, including the smaller Patch 7.1.5 and the raid-focused Patch 7.2. The patch will have the Tomb of Sargeras, as players will descend into the Tomb, facing nine bosses along the way. And flying returns to WoW!

Overwatch Adds Stealthy Hacker Sombra to Its Roster

Blizzard finally revealed Overwatch's newest character: Sombra. The reveal came with a brand-new teaser trailer, entitled Infiltration. Sombra is a Mexican spy allied with Overwatch malcontents Reaper and Widowmaker.

Blizzard Takes From the NFL, NBA, and MLB With Overwatch League

Today at Blizzcon 2016, Blizzard announced the formation of the Overwatch League. Overwatch League teams will represent major cities from various regions, just like basketball, football, or baseball. The inaugural season of the Overwatch League will start some time in 2017.

Heroes of the Storm Adds Varian Wrynn and Ragnaros

The MOBA-style game will add two new heroes from Warcraft: Varian Wrynn and Ragnaros. Varian is the game's first multi-class hero, being either a shield-wielding Warrior or a dual-wielding Assassin. The Fire Lord is an Assassin and minion murderer, clearing entire lanes with lava flows.

The Necromancer and Diablo 1 Updates Have Diablo 3 Looking At Its Past

It's not Diablo 4, but Blizzard did bring new Diablo news to Blizzcon this year. On stage at Blizzcon 2016, Blizzard announced that the Necromancer would be coming to Diablo 3. In honor of the 20th anniversary, Blizzard will also be bringing the original Diablo to Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls with a new content update called The Darkening of Tristam.

Hearthstone Heads to the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan

The fourth expansion to Blizzard's CCG will feature 132 new cards and has players befriending one of three crime families: the gangster-style Grimy Goons, the quiet assassins of the Jade Lotus, and the mana-smuggling Kabal.
