Blizzard exec teases PAX East reveal

Blizzard's chief creative officer Rob Pardo has dropped a tease on Twitter, presaging an expected new game reveal at PAX East this month.

"PAX East next week and I'm still not ready with the announcement for our next game. Work work work," he said.

"And no it's not Titan," he added. "Other than that, feel free to guess."

Titan is the name of Blizzard's long-expected second MMO.

Pardo also linked to an article on Blizzplanet, where the site displayed an invitation to see "something new" from Blizzard at PAX East.

We've seen this invitation before, but this is the first time Blizzard has confirmed it's definitly a new game; last time, it said only that it was not "a sequel, expansion, or that rumored next-gen MMO".

It's likely to be Blizzard All-Stars, a MOBA from the team behind the game which spawned the mod which went on to found a genre, despite Pardo's suggestion that Blizzplanet's prediction was just a guess.

PAX East runs March 22 through 24 in Boston.

Thanks, Johnny.
