Blast 'Em Bunnies headed to 3DS, PS4 and Vita from Escape Vektor dev

Sydney indie Nnooo has announced its latest effort, Blast 'Em Bunnies, is headed to 3DS, PS4 and Vita, bringing with it the slaughter of presumably not-so-innocent lagomorphs.

A casual shooter, Blast 'Em Bunnies has you in the role of one single rabbit facing down a horde of invaders after your cosy barrow. Armed only with your wits, reflexes, a carrot rifle, a watermelon pip machine gun, a runner bean rail gun and a turnip mortar, you'll have to mow down waves of all kinds of bunnies, including some which can fly.

In a press release, Nnooo creative director Nic Watt described the shooter as a pick-up-and-play endless shooter.

"The longer you play, the more difficult survival becomes. But it's not just your own bunny's mortality you're concerned with. You also need to deal with the throat slitter who is holding your baby bunnies hostage. He'll pop up every now and again with one of your little 'uns. Kill him quickly and the baby bunny escapes. If you're not quick enough - well, I really don't want to talk about it," he said.

You'll earn cash in-game which can be spent on weapon upgrades or special ammo types such as heat seeking chilli seeds, sticky exploding raspberries and bouncing pumpkin bombs. Crates offer power-ups and new ammo types, and golden bunnies provide a fat cash bonus.

Blast 'Em Bunnies is coming in 2014 to the platforms mentioned above, but Nnoo hasn't ruled out ports. Check out the trailer below, and hit up the website to see some screens, enemy types and weapons.
