Black Ops Cold War: here's a look at the new layout for Miami Strike

Black Ops Cold War is teasing the tighter version of Miami.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to receive the Season 2 mid-season update next week. One of the new additions multiplayer fans are looking forward to is a smaller, more close-quarters-focused version of the Miami map.

Black Ops Cold War players have always had a love-hate relationship with Miami. Many felt it was too big for standard 6v6, but others liked the change of pace it offered compared to the rest of the game's launch maps.

Treyarch apparently agrees with both, because the developer is leaving the current Miami as is, while introducing a smaller version of the same map - dubbed Miami Strike - with the mid-season update.

When Treyarch initially announced the news, the community imagined the small version would just simply have some sections cut off, but our first look at Miami Strike reveals that there's actually more to it than that.

Treyarch dropped the video below, showing off the layout of Miami Strike. As you can see, the developer made several changes to how it flows, well beyond simply making it smaller.

Along with Miami Strike, the mid-season update will also add one more map to the Outbreak Zombies mode. Ahead of that, both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone are running double XP/weapon XP/battle pass XP this weekend.
