Black Ops 4 Zombies Champions Guide
Firstly, you’re going to have to earn a fair amount of points on the IX Zombies map before you can even think about summoning in the Champions of the arena. We’d recommend picking up some rapid fire weapons, either from the Mystery Box in the caverns of the level or on the walls, before you use any of the four gongs in the four subsections of the map to summon two of the Champions.
If you thought the IX Zombies map would have you facing off against one Champion at a time, then think again. The Champions of the arena always arrive in pairs, and they’re always clad from head to toe in heavy armor, and wielding at least one axe. They’re tough, but don’t worry, you don’t have to remove all their armor with gunfire in order to put them in the ground.
What you’ll want to do is focus your fire on either their head, or arms. If you can bring enough firepower to bear on the arm of a champion, you can actually cut it off, making the battle a hell of a lot easier. Otherwise, you’ll want to aim for the head of a champion, so you can firstly remove their head armor, and then kill them with a headshot once the armor is removed.
The trick to slaying any of the IX Champions is to stay with your team. The four gongs that you can use to summon the Champions onto the map might be in the subsections of the map, but there’s nothing wrong with retreating to the middle of the arena once your team has used the gong, as here you’ve got a wide open space, so your entire team has a line of sight to the two Champions. It obviously goes without saying, but don’t ring more than one gong at once, unless you want to perish pretty quickly.
