The Blood of the Dead map might be the single largest map in the entire Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Zombies mode, and it can be pretty difficult to navigate. In this full Black Ops 4 Blood of the Dead Easter Eggs guide, we'll be providing you with a complete list of locations of all the Easter Eggs on the prison-based map.

Black Ops 4 Blood of the Dead Easter Eggs
The main Blood of the Dead Easter Egg that we’ve uncovered as of right now is the ‘Most Escape Alive’ Trophy/Achievement for the game, which sees your team successfully escaping the map alive. It’s a long road to do this though, and to get started with it, you’ll need to firstly turn on the power, secondly build the Blood of the Dead Shield, and thirdly, use said shield to turn on the Blood of the Dead Pack-a-Punch upgrade machine.
After you’ve completed all the previous steps (which are pretty difficult in themselves), you can think about escaping from the Blood of the Dead map. Just below, we’ll be walking you through the step-by-step guide in unlocking the Most Escape Alive Trophy, the main Easter Egg in the Blood of the Dead map.
Enter the Warden’s Secret Room in Zombies Blood of the Dead Map
Now, this is an odd one. Reach round 18 on the Blood of the Dead map, and then take the transport portal in the ground of the Showers area to the Warden’s House. Head to the second floor of the Warden’s House, and look to the wall opposite of the zombie spawn window, and hit said wall with the Spoon melee weapon.
You now need to bait Brutus, the massive Zombie warden, into the second floor of the Warden’s House. Once upstairs, get Brutus to use his huge EMP attack, and it’ll unveil a secret room on the second floor of the house, with the chief Warden strapped to an electric chair. Interact with the switch in the room, and collect the red stone.
Find and Follow the Bird in Zombies Blood of the Dead Map
Again, another slightly strange step in unlocking the Easter Egg. After the process in the Warden’s House, go all the way back to where you began the onslaught on the Blood of the Dead map, in Richtofen’s Lab. Interact with the sole map on the wall to place the red stone you retrieved from the Warden’s House.
Next, you need to interact with the huge book in the area, which Richtofen gives to himself in the opening cutscene of the Blood of the Dead map. Interacting with the book will spawn a bird, which will then fly away. You need to find the bird four times, and it can be located in any four of the following areas.
- Catwalk
- New Industries
- Richtofen’s Lab (top floor)
- Library
- Recreation Yard
- Infirmary
- Roof
- Eagle Plaza
- Cafeteria
- Cell Block Second Floor
- Citadel
- Above the Lighthouse
The first three times you find the bird in any of the locations above, you need to hit it with a spectral blast, from the Zombie shield that you built earlier in the game. However when you find the fourth and final bird, don’t hit it with the spectral attack, simply leave it be for the moment.
To go the bottom of the Citadel Tunnels area, and find the code inputter. Input the code ‘8-7-2’, and you’ll enter the Zombie Blood Mode. Return to the location of the fourth and final bird while in the special mode, and view it through the Zombie shield. Finally, throw it at the Hell’s Retriever/Redeemer item at the bird. If you’ve done all this correctly, the bird will drop Richtofen’s book, which you can collect.
Complete the Trials in Zombies Blood of the Dead Map
Take the big book back to the secret room in the Warden’s House, where you retrieved the red stone. Place the book on the corpse in the chair by interacting it, and view the book through the Zombie shield. Three random numbers will spawn, and you need to memorize these numbers.
Return all the way to the code inputter at the very bottom of the Citadel Tunnels, and input those three random numbers that the book showed you. Immediately after you’ve input the numbers, look straight to the Lighthouse, which will now shine a beam of light to a completely random place on the map.
You now need to head to this exact point on the Blood of the Dead map, and a member of your team that’s carrying the Zombie shield needs to view the beam of light on the ground through the shield. Doing this will cause a red portal to appear. You can now hit the portal with a spectral blast to make it appear for all members of your team.
At the portal, you’ll need to complete a certain challenge trial. After you’ve completed one trial, the beam of light from the Lighthouse will move to another location on the map. Head to the new beam location, and repeat this entire process again, undertaking a brand new challenge trial. You need to complete four trials in total, to complete this section of the Blood of the Dead Easter Egg.
As of right now, this is as far as we’ve made it in obtaining the ‘Most Escape Alive’ Easter Egg/Trophy on the Blood of the Dead map.
