Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update brings Operation Absolute Zero to PC/Xbox, adds Blackout custom games

Another big week has kicked off in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, with PC, and Xbox One players now able to join in on the fun.

Black Ops 4's Operation Absolute Zero, which adds a new operator to multiplayer, the Hijacked ship to Blackout, and 100 new tiers in the Black Market, has now gone live on PC, and Xbox One.

Black Ops Pass holders on those platforms now also have the first content drop to enjoy. That means two new multiplayer maps (Elevation, and Madagascar), the Dead of Night Zombies map, and Reaper as a Blackout character.

Many of the balance issues PS4 players had to contend with over the past week are being adjusted on PC, and Xbox One, particularly when it comes to Zero's seeming dominance in multiplayer.

In Blackout, custom games are available now, and weapon camos (in Blackout) are coming to all players tomorrow. As previously announced, custom games support a maximum of 12 players, but you'll be able to pick from solos, duos, and quads.

Treyarch has also made a big change to character unlock missions in Blackout. Going forward, all multiplayer characters will be available to all players for use in Blackout. The character-specific missions are still there, but they'll instead unlock a specific outfit. As such, they're now called outfit unlocks. This particular change is exclusive to PS4 for a week.

Also exclusive to PS4 for a week are Contraband Stashes in Blackout. These special stashes can be found in the world and they contain Secret Santa, and Slay Bell melee weapons from the Black Market.

Blackout audio has been adjusted yet again, this time to make vehicle sounds easier to hear to prevent ambushes - especially using the new ARAV attack vehicle. The airdrop plane's sound has been lowered, however.
