Black Ops 4 update changes armor durability in Blackout once again
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout players have new armor turning values to look forward to.
Those keeping up with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, or playing it, will know that Treyarch recently introduced an armour repair system to Blackout.
In its first iteration, the system made armour even stronger than before, and the repair feature allowed players to bring back some of their lost armour health. The change was meant to make it less punishing for aggressive players, who more often than not lose their armor in the fight.
Unfortunately, the first implementation made a bit too easy to repair, and many players were able to do it mid-fight. With today's update, Treyarch has reduced the number of armor plates players can stack to five instead of ten. It also made the repair process take a second longer.
The more interesting change has been made to armor durability, making all three levels share the same durability values. In other words, level 3 armor won't take longer to break than level one.
The Paladin sniper rifle, which previously shredded armor, was unintentionally nerfed when the repair system debuted. This has now been reverted.
Today's update, as promised, also brings weapon camo support to Blackout. The armory is a new menu where you'll be able to assign the camos you have unlocked in multiplayer to your Blackout weapons.
Alongside these changes, the PC version was updated to version 1.10, which means PC players can now enjoy the Operation Absolute Zero content, not to mention the new maps/Zombies experience for season pass holders.
