Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 1.11 update brings new stash UI to Blackout, nerfs concussion grenades

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's first big update in the new year has arrived on consoles.

Patch 1.11 is now available for Call of Duty: Black Ops players on PS4, and Xbox One, with PC to follow later in the week. As usual, the update contains a round of fixes for all three modes.

Blackout's updates are the most interesting, because console players finally have a new UI for dead player stashes. This new design is much easier to navigate, and makes it possible to see the goings-on around you while you loot. The grid-based design also allows players to see more items at a glance, so they can quickly decide whether it's worth looting a risky stash.

Concussion grenades, which have recently become a controversial item, have been somewhat nerfed. Players can now only stack one grenade per slot, which should reduce their frequency in Blackout.

Later this week, a new Blackout liited-time mode will launch. Called Down but not Out, this new quad variant allows surviving players to respawn their teammates back into the game each time the circle collapses.

For Zombies, the update kicks off 115 Day celebrations, which means double XP, double weapon XP, and double Nebulium Plasma. PS4 players are the first to receive the Unsinkable Gauntlet for Voyage of Despair, too.

Unsinkable is a 30-round mode where each round has a different challenge for players. Failing a challenge three times will get you booted, and your time and score are being tracked for a worldwide leaderboard.

In multiplayer, Treyarch added the two Black Ops Pass maps released so far - Elevation, and Madagascar - to the regular rotation. The same content is coming to PC next week.
