Binding of Isaac: Rebirth beyond the half way point of development
Development for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is beyond the half way point of development, with "85% of the art done and almost all the old content =remade in the new engine," according to Edmund McMillenn.
Binding of Isaac: Rebirth comes with a rather large expansion along with two-player co-op.
"We are currently nearing the end of development on The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and have officially launched bindingofisaac.com a dev blog for it that will be updated weekly with new info on the game and other development tidbits," said McMillenn in a press release.
"The past few weeks we have been updating it with tracks from the new official soundtrack, pics of new items and gifs of tear combos that weren't possible in the original.
Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a completely remade and vastly expanded version of the now triple platinum hit."
Rebirth will feature:
- A completely new engine (not flash!) that will run the game perfectly
- 150+ new items
- 3 new playable characters
- 2 player local co-op
- Different sized rooms
- A completely new soundtrack
- A complete graphics overhaul
- Tons of new enemies, chapters, bosses, endings and more.
- Plus a large loyalty discount for people who own the original and preorder.
It’s out on PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, PS Vita later this year, and 3DS and Xbox 360 versions are still being discussed.
If you head over to the game's website, you can also listed to a soundtrack clip and have a look at new in-game item combos.
