Bigpoint crafting new military-themed MOBA for release this summer

Developer Bigpoint, known for Battlestar Galactica Online, among other things, is building a new free-to-play browser-based MOBA called Merc Elite. They decided there are enough fantasy MOBAs out there, and so it's time for something military-themed, which is in no way old hat in the world of gaming.


Merc Elite will allegedly be a simple (click and click and click) affair, with a heavy emphasis on real-time tactics. Battles can be up to 5v5, and there will be a number of character classes and loadouts to choose from. And, of course, being an F2P game, Merc Elite will have microtransactions galore for things like special characters and consumable weapons.
