Big update coming to Minecraft Windows 10 and Pocket Edition this month
Microsoft has announced a rather large update will release for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta and Minecraft: Pocket Edition at the end of the month.
Dubbed the Overworld Update, it addd advanced "mechanical contraptions" along with additional redstone components.
This includes "comparators, repeaters, dispensers, droppers, hoppers, trapped chests" and additional Minecart types.
Witch huts nestled in the swamps now have randomly generated potions inside the cauldrons, and players will be able to use said cauldrons to dye armor.
Item Frames can be added to homes, maps can be hung on the wall and other goodies such as slime blocks, wearable pumpkins, red sandstone and improved chicken jockey mobs are on the list.
The ability to import and export maps into the Windows 10 Edition Beta will also be included in the update.
Eight new achievements on the Windows 10 Edition Beta totaling 170 additional Xbox Gamerscore will be added.
