Bethesda readies for MMO launches with Irish customer centre
Bethesda parent company Zenimax said today it's to open a customer support centre in Galway, Ireland. An online customer support centre. For "future massively multiplayer online games". Anyone see any Bethesda MMOs round here?
The company said in a press release today that the "new facility will provide customer support for players of their future massively multiplayer online games and is expected to result in the creation of hundreds of jobs over the next several years."
The move will merely add to speculation that Bethesda is to announce at least one MMO this year. The company is widely rumoured to be well advanced with production on an Elder Scrolls MMO.
ZeniMax Online Studios is developing the company's MMOs, headed by Mythic veteran Matt Firor. The developer was formed in 2007.
“Today’s announcement marks an important step for us,” said Firor.
“We are excited to be building an experienced team, led by Rich, which will focus on providing superior customer support for our games. Galway has world-class educational facilities, is a beautiful place to work and live, and offers a wide variety of benefits for our employees. Our ability to provide superior customer service for our future products is firmly on track.”
