Bethesda debunks Obsidian dev's Skyrim PS3 lag theory
Bethesda PR VP Pete Hines has flat out debunked claims from Fallout: New Vegas project lead Josh Sawyer that memory management and the game's engine is what's currently causing problems for the PS3 version of Skyrim.
On Twitter, Hines moved to deny Sawyer's claims, which were made on Monday, claiming that the issues from New Vegas - which was powered by Gamebyro - were fixed for Skyrim and the Creation Engine.
"Josh Sawyer did not work on Skyrim nor this engine and his comments don't reflect how the current tech works," he said in a tweet to a fan.
In another, he added: "No, it isn't true. He brings up issues we solved long ago."
Bethesda gave a status update overnight, saying a new fix wouldn't arrive until at least Update 1.4.
