Ben Cousins to lead new ngmoco studio in Sweden

ngmoco's announced that ex-EA Easy boss Ben Cousins is to lead the company's new studio in Sweden.

Cousins left EAE back in March after overlooking launches for Battlefield Play4Free and Battlefield Heroes, as well as help oversee the release of Lord of Ultima from EA Phenomic.

ngmoco Stockholm will mainly focus on building content for social games platform Mobage.

"From pioneering downloadable content for handhelds to helping spearhead bold moves into free-to-play gaming for core games franchises, he brings a keen understanding of delivering great freemium games and triple-A game development to Ngmoco. We're thrilled to have him leading ngmoco Sweden," said ngmoco boss Neil Young.

On his appointment, Cousins added: "The games industry is at an inflection point. These platforms are bringing hundreds of millions of new gamers into the fold, and at the same time existing core gamers are discovering the innovation, immersion and connectivity they bring.

"I'm excited to participate in helping shape what we believe is the future of games.”

Thanks, Develop.
