Bejeweled 3 announced for December 7 release by PopCap

PopCap's announced Bejeweled 3, further confirming it'll release on December 7.

The game, which will be available to buy at retail and from PopCap.com, will feature four new reimagings of game modes like Butterflies, Ice Storm and Poker.

It'll also feature a Zen mode, which will enable you to customise gameplay with ambient sounds and binaural beats.

Quest mode will also have 11 mini-games, which brings the grand total to 40.

BJ3 will also be packed with HD visuals as well as high-fluid gameplay and audio.

"The challenge in creating a new version of Bejeweled is to innovate and keep it fresh and exciting without losing touch with the game-play that millions of people love," said Bejeweled and PopCap creator Jason Kapalka.

"So we're very careful when we make changes to the core game, which is why it can take so long!

"We've worked hard to make sure Bejeweled 3 retains the classic appeal of the earlier games while bringing a host of exciting new features to the table."
