Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 announced, includes all 12 factions from the tabletop game
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is the sequel to last year's RTS based on the tabletop game, and it promises a whole host of upgrades.
As one would expect from a sequel, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 aims to expand and refine the core experience established by the original game. Tindalos Interactive returns as the game's developer, and the studio promises a more ambitious sequel.
Armada 2 will feature all 12 factions from the tabletop game and its expansion at launch. This includes the Imperial Navy, Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons, Chaos, Aeldari Corsairs, Aeldari Craftworld, Drukhari, the T’au Merchant and Protector Fleets, Orks, and the Tyranids. Rogue Traders is the only faction that won't be there at launch.
The main story will be set during the Gathering Storm and the 13th Black Crusade story, with Tindalos promising multiple campaigns. The developer also revealed that the sequel will allow for bigger battles, and a more balanced multiplayer experience.
Better customisation for ships and fleets, as well as several other improvements across the entire game are also planned.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is due for release later this year on PC.
