Battlefield 4 adds new higher-performance servers to resolve 'rubber-banding' issue
DICE has deployed what it describes as "new higher-performance servers" to deal with a 'rubber-banding' issue experienced by players following the release of the Naval Strike DLC.
A new post on the official Battlefield blog says that the cause of the issue was a "configuration of certain hardware types dedicated to 64-player matches."
Apparently a "significant amount of testing" was undertaken before introducing the servers to ensure their effectiveness, and the post claims that 64-player matches have already seen performance improvements.
