Battlefield 3's Operation Métro map to be shown at E3
DICE has announced that it will be showing both the single and multiplayer portion of Battlefield 3 to E3 attendees next week, but if you think that's all that will be on-hand, you are sadly mistaken.
There will also be new trailers and screenshots as well as "in-depth press previews." The multiplayer map, Operation Métro will be made available for press to play on the show floor, and according to the Battlefield Blog it "combines both sides of the scale into one cohesive experience."
Players will also be able to "temporarily disable vehicles, go prone, mount weapons, lay down suppressive fire and more," within the map.
The game's co-op campaign, Team Death Matches and the Battlefield 3 Battlelog with its social tools, feeds and detailed player stats will not be shown, though.
"Battlelog also lets you manage your friends lists, squad up, create platoons, use voice chat and follow your friends’ progress in real-time, and more," wrote DICE GM Karl Magnus Troedsson.
Battlelog will be available for free upon release. Updates on the later will happen at a later, time, apparently.
Battlefield 3 is out on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 this fall.
