Battlefield 3: Aftermath has hidden dinosaur Easter Egg

Battlefield 3 players have been clamouring for - oddly enough - a dinosaur-themed expansion, ever since fans started asking DICE for it. The studio fuelled enthusiasm by asking for fan opinions. Well, it just so happens there's a dinosaur-themed Easter Egg in upcoming expansion Aftermath.

VG247 asked producer at DICE Craig Mcleod for his thoughts on the Battlefield 3 dinosaur craze, "I've seen that yeah. I think each game gets it's kind of little...quirk that players like. We understand this and actually, we do have one hidden Easter Egg which is along this theme in Aftermath."

The Easter Egg follows tweets a while ago from the Battlefield 3 feed that asked, "No, at this time there is no word on a dinosaur DLC. Would you like one? And if so, would it be humans vs. dinosaurs?"

The game's community manager also fanned the flames by posting on Reddit, "Glad to see the enthusiasm. Really, though, if this is something you guys want the best way to go about it is to try to get #BF3Dinos off the ground on Twitter. If that sh*t trends it's pretty hard to ignore."

DICE seems sort-of happy with the idea of dinosaurs in Battlefield - at least to the extent of Easter eggs. Would you like to see a humans vs dinosaurs mode in the full game? Let us know below.

Battlefield 3 Aftermath is out for Xbox 360 premium subscribers from December 4th, and non-premium members December 18th.
