Battlefield 2042 Exodus short film features the return of BF4 characters
Battlefield 2042 has delivered a deep look at its world through a new short film.
Following a week of short stories that unveiled more of the world of Battlefield 2042, DICE has now dropped the last piece of the puzzle: a short film titled Exodus.
The short film, as with the different stories shared over the last week, focuses on the game's No-Pats, a group of people whose countries have collapsed in a cascade of events that leads to the game's main conflict.
One of the bigger reveals is the return of Battlefield 4 characters Kimble "Irish" Graves, and Clayton "Pac" Pakowski, who are aboard the Exodus. This confirms earlier leaks that the story of BF2042 takes place in the same world, following the events of BF4 - albeit years later.
EA confirmed in a press release that Irish is one of the game's playable Specialists. His signature Specialty (gadget) is the DCS deployable cover, and the APS-36 Shootdown Sentinel, which counters explosive projectiles. Irish's Trait (passive) allows him to gain armour with every kill.
Battlefield 2042 is out October 22 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
