Battlefield 2018 reveal trailer is officially in production
The reveal trailer for Battlefield 2018 is officially in the works according to DICE senior video and media director, Randy Evans.
Evans tweeted about the in-production trailer this weekend, February 24, saying simply: “Battlefield 2018 reveal trailer is underway.”
This comes after EA announced last week that this year’s Battlefield game will be playable at their EA PLAY 2018 event in June.
EA PLAY is a free event scheduled between June 9-11 at the Hollywood Palladium and promises attendees hands-on time with Battlefield 2018, as well as an “inside look” at the upcoming Anthem.
Towards the end of 2017, a YouTuber who accurately leaked details about Battlefield 1 in the past claimed that the 2018 entry to the series will be Bad Company 3 - a long-awaited sequel to 2010’s Battlefield Bad Company 2.
In the video - which is still up to view - he also claims that the game will take place during, and in the aftermath of, the Vietnam war, but won’t be wholly historically accurate. Modes like Conquest, Rush and Operations are supposed to return, alongside a new 5v5 squad battle.
Whatever sub-series the game is part of, EA are betting big on Battlefield. In January they announced that they were delaying Anthem to the first quarter of 2019 to give the military shooter pride-of-place in their fall release calendar.
