Battlefield 1 also has a male announcer in multiplayer, listen to it here
If you're not a fan of the calm and collected announcer lady we've been hearing in Battlefield 1 videos so far, you can switch to an - also calm - male version.
The multiplayer announcer voice in Battlefield 1 has been one of the most talked about features of the upcoming game. While some just didn't like the pre-NATO phonetics in use to call out objectives, others criticised the delivery the voice itself offers, saying it should be more in line with previous games.
We've only heard one version of this voice however, the female version. The open beta will give players the option to switch to a male one, but that's really all there is to it.
As you can hear in the video below, via JackFrags, the line delivery is almost identical between the two.
How the male announcer sounds in the BF1 Open Beta for those that asked. Sounds like a light Welsh accent to me. pic.twitter.com/XEkZv68zBv

It seems fans hoping to hear angry commanders shouting expletives in their ears during matches, will not find what they're looking for in Battlefield 1. Whatever the case, it does offer a nice break from the brutal fights taking place in the foreground.
The Battlefield 1 open beta goes live tomorrow for everyone. It's available now for those with early access codes.
