Battleborn open beta gets a date, episodic story revealed
Gearbox has dated the upcoming beta for Battleborn.
Battleborn, Gearbox's upcoming hero-shooter/MOBA, will have its beta soon. Developer Gearbox has today announced official details for the upcoming test.
The open beta begins early on PlayStation 4, at 5pm UTC on April 8. On April 13, the beta starts on PC and Xbox One. It includes access to two story episodes, Void's Edge and The Algorithm. The beta goes offline on all platforms at 2pm UTC on April 18.
Two of the game's three multiplayer modes will also be there. These are Incursion, and Meltdown. In addition, all 25 heroes will be available to play.
You'll be able to pre-load the beta at 12am UTC on April 6 for PS4. 12am UTC for Xbox One. And 5pm UTC for PC. Download sizes vary, too. 8.5 GB for PS4, 11 GB for Xbox One, and 12 GB for PC.
Gearbox also revealed more details about Battleborn's story mode. Described as an episodic "TV-style" structure, the game's story will span eight episodes and a prologue. Each of these will have a self-contained story, with the full season concluding with the game's end.
