Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition has over 350,000 words of new content

Beamdog is busily working away on Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition, and already has a huge pile of extra content to reward fans for their patience.

"We're hard at work on BG2:EE and it is going well. Phil (our design lead) mentioned to me there is over 350,000 words of new content," Beamdog boss Trent Oster told Shack News.

The new content appears in quests and story material in Shadows of Amn and expansion Throne of Bhaal; all of these modules will be included in the finished release on Mac and PC, and offered as DLC on Android and iPad.

More information on Baldur's Gate 2 is expected soon. The re-release of the BioWare classic follows on from last year's Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition. Beamdog had announced plans to produce DLC for the first game, but put this on hold until the sequel is completed. Oster confirmed the developer still intends to follow through on those plans.
